Oats

Shelby 427 Oats

Oats

Shelby 427, a white-hulled spring oat, was developed by the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station and released in 2010. Shelby 427 is an early, medium height, multi-purpose oat that can be used for feed grain, milling oat, companion crop, forage, and/or straw production.

Shelby 427, when compared to Jerry, has superior grain yield, test weight, and crown rust and lodging resistance. It is also resistant to Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (BYDV) and has moderate resistance to smut and to stem rust.

We offer Shelby 427 oats in 2 bu. bags (64 #), in 60 bu. (1920 #) totes, and in true bulk (minimum 100 bu.) Contact us for more details.

M-120 Oats

Oats

Mustang M-120 oats are a tall, late maturing, high tonnage forage oat with a wide leaf. These oats have out yielded Jerry and Loyal on tons per acre, and carry good leaf rust resistance.

We offer M-120 oats in 2 bu. bags (64 #), in 60 bu. (1920 #) totes, and in true bulk (minimum 100 bu.) Contact us for more details.

Jerry Oats

Oats

This dual purpose oat may be grown for either forage or grain. Grain is white and large, with very good test weight. Forage yield and quality are good.

We offer Jerry oats in 2 bu. bags (64 #), in 60 bu. (1920 #) totes, and in true bulk (minimum 100 bu.) Contact us for more details.

Horsepower Oats

Oats

Horsepower oats are a white-hulled spring grain oat, developed by the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station. Horsepower has high yield potential and strong straw strength. It is early-medium maturity with short plant height and an average test weight. It is moderately resistance to crown rust, smut, and Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (BYDV), and moderately susceptible to stem rust.

We offer Horsepower oats in 2 bu. bags (64 #), in 60 bu. (1920 #) totes, and in true bulk (minimum 100 bu.) Contact us for more details.
